Helen, Nel, Mike and Madhav are Abseiling to Save Lives in London!
On the afternoon of Thursday 10 September, four members of the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers will take on an exciting challenge, abseiling from the 17th floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, home of London's Air Ambulance Charity, to raise vital funds for this life-saving organisation.
With origins dating back almost 700 years, and the first written record of the Company in 1376, the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers is one of the oldest Livery Companies in the City of London. Granted full Livery status in 1462, the Company continues a proud tradition of charitable giving and community service, supporting a wide range of causes, including London's Air Ambulance Charity.
Having created history this year with its first Female Master, the team of four comprises of Master Helen Whelan, Consort Mike Whelan, Clerk Nel Doherty and Freeman Madhav Shankar.
As our team prepares to descend 17 storeys in support of this incredible charity, we would be delighted if you could join us on the day to cheer us on - and, if you are able, make a donation.
