I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London

“‘I will admit to being a slight adrenalin junky, but I can’t say I’m a fan of abseiling – I’ve previously always viewed it as simply a necessary evil for mountaineering activities…  So it will genuinely be a Not Very Happy Nel who totters at the lip of the 17^th floor helipad to start the free hanging abseil (not something I’ve experienced before).  But since first visiting the London Air Ambulance Charity I have been blown away by the organisation: their life saving support is invaluable to everyone who lives in and around London, and their development of ground-breaking technology in emergency patient care is extraordinary.  They deserve all our support, as who knows when it might be us or someone we love who has to call upon their services.  Please support me to help the LAAC continue their incredible work.  Thank you."

Nel Doherty is the Clerk at the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers with a background of the Royal Forces. Clerk Nel Doherty is joined in the abseil by Master Helen Whelan - the 1^st female Master of the Tallow Chandlers, Consort Mike Whelan and Freeman Madhav Shankar completing the Tallow Chandler’s team supporting this event.
