REBECCA TURP

Santa in the City 2025

My story.

Having been very lucky to conquer chemo previously 2020/2021 I had a medical emergency last year. I was told I may not make the journey to hospital, then was told  I may not survive the surgery, later post surgery told I may develope epilepsy or lose my cognitive and physical ability. My amazing friends and son stepped up, supporting me through surgery, through intensive care and recovery, through ending back in A & E. I not only needed practical and physical help but felt my spirit so crushed by events and medicated beyond my experience, these fantastic 5 took the reins from me. Usually I am the strong one, the glue that holds people together and shield to protect those around me. I am so grateful to them for being my heroes. I am super lucky to have met some amazing emergency response people, surgeons, Drs and even the tea rounds lady, she was a super star.

I lost 10kg in muscle, I was being pushed in a wheelchair. I had a very funky  (and very itchy) half head shave with half head viking plait!! I now wish to say thank you and give help to those who help so many in an emergency. I cannot run but will walk this course with the help and love from these amazing friends.

Its almost Christmas and New Year. Lets fight for those who rush to help us when we're in danger and hurt, fighting to keep us alive.

I know its a hard time of year to ask for money.

x3 cups of coffee in London is a tenner, please give x3 cups of coffee worth. Lets fight for life. Keep the london air ambulance up in the air.

Stay Blessed x

I'm running to help save lives in London

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.

I will be running in Santa in the City for London's Air Ambulance Charity. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
