I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London
I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. The free hang aspect (no body contact with the wall!!) only adds to the sense of exhilaration (and panic of course!!) and you get to see the East London skyline from a whole new angle!!
This year, both myself and a fellow member of the RSA Legal team have personal experience of the incredible service that is provided by LAA for a close family friend and a loved one who both received the immediate response and urgent care that LAA provide. In both cases, very sadly they passed away due to the severity of their injuries however, to say thank you for the emergency care that they received from LAA, I have joined the team of fearless fundraisers from the RSA Abseiling Angels and we have registered to undertake this challenge.
I would really appreciate any donation you are able to make towards our fundraising target - all money raised will help the Air Ambulance to continue their vital lifesaving work across London.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
