I’m abseiling from the helipad of The Royal London Hospital - and yes, it’s as high (and terrifying) as it sounds!
When Ed Poulton asked me to take part, I wasn’t sure why I said yes… until I saw the look on my children’s faces. At 16 and 13, they were beaming with pride - and that sealed it. I couldn’t back out.
So here I am, embracing my “anything is possible” mindset and visualising the joy (and relief!) of reaching the ground, knowing I faced a fear and did something extraordinary.
But this isn’t about me. It’s about raising VITAL funds for the London’s Air Ambulance Charity - a service that delivers advanced trauma care 24/7 to over 10 million people who live, work, and travel within the M25.

I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity one the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
