Jo’s abseil for London’s Air Ambulance
I don’t think (it remains to be seen) that I am afraid of heights but I may be in a bit of denial about how high this helipad actually is!! I will be launching off the side of The Royal London Hospital building on the 12 September which I’m told is 17 floors up. That doesn’t sound like a huge amount, however reading the description on the website which mentions “the free hang aspect, (no body contact with the wall)” hasn’t filled me with a great deal of confidence. London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most.
