Volunteering for LAAC
Welcome to my virtual bucket collection. Those that know me will know that I have been an active volunteer for London's Air Ambulance for many years.
In normal times I would be out collecting for the charity at local supermarkets, underground and over ground stations and at community and sporting events.
Unfortunately we are all aware things are a little different this year.
With physical events having either been cancelled or postponed throughout 2020 due to the pandemic the charities income has understandably been hit hard.
They have been forced to replace many of their usual fundraising activities with virtual alternatives to help raise vital funds to keep the aircraft flying and their teams operational.
When London calls they must be ready to respond by delivering hospital level care at the scene.
I'm supporting their Virtual Bucket Collection appeal by hosting my own collection.

With the ability to create a group collection it's also the perfect opportunity to encourage your employers and teams to support the charity.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
Every year the Charity raises vital funds through collections for National Air Ambulance Week during September. Sadly, this year those physical collections cannot take place, so I’ve joined their virtual bucket collection appeal to try and help replace that lost income and keep the helicopter flying.
