About the event
Walk, jog, or run the Thames Path Challenge, tracing the course of England’s iconic River Thames. This incredible journey begins in the leafy suburbs of South West London, following the river’s winding path to Hampton Court, through the historic Runnymede—famous for the Magna Carta—and finishing at Henley-on-Thames with a celebratory BBQ and festivities.
As the flattest of all Ultra Challenge routes, the terrain offers a mix of paths that will test your endurance while rewarding you with stunning landscapes, charming villages, and historic towns along the way.

Sign up now and join our team of lifesavers at the Thames Path Challenge. Click the 'Join The Team' button, you will be taken to the Ultra Challenge website to choose your distance and fundraising option and register for London's Air Ambulance Charity.

Fundraising Options
Option 1: Charity Sponsorship - all our fundraisers will recieve 50% OFF full charity sponsorship registration fees
You pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place.
- 100km: Reg fee £50 / fundraising target £575
- 75km: Reg fee £45 / fundraising target £475
- 50km: Reg fee £40 / fundraising target £375
- 25km: Reg fee £30 / fundraising target £275
- 10km: Reg fee £20 / fundraising target £100
Option 2: Mixed Fundraising
Cover half the cost of your event place, fundraise a smaller amount, and we’ll cover the remaining balance for you.
- 100km: Reg fee £110 / fundraising target £330
- 75km: Reg fee £90 / fundraising target £270
- 50km: Reg fee £75 / fundraising target £225
- 25km: Reg fee £50 / fundraising target £150
- 10km: Reg fee £22.50 / fundraising target £70
Option 3: Own Place Charity Fundraising
You cover the full cost of the event place, allowing you to fundraise as much as you want, with no set target or deadline. Best of all, the charity incurs no expenses!

Who can take part?
On the date of the Event you must be 18 or older to participate within the ‘full’ challenge (100km), 16 or older for a ‘half’ challenge (50km), and 14 or older for a ‘quarter’ challenge (25km).
Can I join the team if I have my own place?
Yes, we welcome all own place fundraisers to our Team. the only difference is there is no set minimum sponsorship.
Can I take part as a team?
Yes, you can be a team if your teammate(s) have a London’s Air Ambulance Charity place or their own place. We can combine your minimum sponsorship to create one team fundraising target. If you would like to register a large team, please contact us at events@londonsairambulance.org.uk

What website should I use to set up an online giving page?
We have our own fundraising pages, you will be able to set up your page when you register or you can create an account to set your page up after you have registered.
Do I get a London's Air Ambulance Charity top to wear on the day?
We send all our participants a London’s Air Ambulance Charity tech top or vest to wear on the day.
Can my family and friends come to watch?
Yes, take a look at the course map to see where your family might be able to cheer you on.
How can I get my workplace to support me?
There are loads of ways your work can support your fundraising, here are a few ideas:
- Match funding- some workplaces offer match funding where they match up to a certain amount of what you raise for example if you raise £500 they will match it and give you £500 making your fundraising total £1,000
- Add your online giving page to your work email signature
- Hold a bake sale, lunchtime activity or after work quiz
- Guess your finish time- £2 to guess a time, winner wins a prize or a % of the money from the game or a prize that has been donated to you.
What happens if I don’t hit my target by the deadline date?
We will be in regular contact between the time you register and the event date. The ‘Initial Target’ of at least 50% must be submitted to the Charity by 3 weeks prior to the Event. If at anytime you are concerned about your fundraising progress we ask that you contact us so we can help. If you are not able to reach the target by the deadline set we will work together with you to extend your deadline and support further fundraising activity to help.
Does the registration fee contribute towards my fundraising?
Your registration fee contributes towards the cost of your place and is not included in your fundraising target.
What happens if I get injured or am no longer able to take part in the event?
If you are no longer able to take part please email events@londonsairambulance.org.uk if you have one of our charity places, we may be able to defer your place to the following year depending on the event. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss what we can do to help.
How can I get a training plan?
When you sign up you will receive a link to a variety of different training plans based on your experience.
