We are running to help save lives in London
Lifelong friends Mark Godman & James Dare will be taking part in this years TCS London Marathon. We have lived in London for the majority of our lives and have talked about running the marathon for many years. Both of us turn 50 in 2023 and so decided that we better take on the challenge whilst our bodies still allow us to do so! Neither of us are in peak physical condition nor are we runners and so a lot of early morning training sessions and hard work is required in the lead up to the race, a monumental challenge for us both.
We are reaching out to ask you to very kindly consider supporting our fundraising efforts for a wonderful charity , London's Air Ambulance.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
We will be running as a team and jointly fundraising, as we have many friends and family in common but we are also acutely aware that this is a difficult time for many and there are multiple emails like this, so please do not feel in any way obliged to donate.
If you do feel able to support us, we'd be extremely grateful.
Thank you so much,
Mark & James
