London's Air Ambulance Helipad Abseil June 2023

Time for a BIG Challenge - I'm abseiling to help save lives in London!

As a long-standing member of Clyde & Co's CSR team, I have had the pleasure of organising and taking part in some incredible charity events over the years. Raising money and awareness for incredible causes like the London Air Ambulance Charity is something I am extremely passionate about and given I was asking lots of volunteers to take on this challenge... I thought I better do the same!

On 8 June 2023, I will be abseiling from the highest helipad in Europe, at the Royal London Hospital, to raise money for the London Air Ambulance Charity. 

The work that this Charity does is truly incredible. Often, people mistakenly believe that the air ambulance is an emergency service, that is funded by the government, like other public services. However, the London Air Ambulance is in fact reliant on the donations from members of the public and through fundraising events, like this one. 

The London Air Ambulance provides pioneering service, ensuring that advanced medical treatment can be given to the most critically ill patients across the City, at their time of need. By providing early intervention and world class treatment, the London Air Ambulance gives patients the best chance of survival and quality of life, after trauma. 

The work this charity does is truly remarkable but in order to continue running, they need the funding to replace their two helicopters by 2024 and cover the £15 million, that this will cost. 

With this in mind, I would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor me for completing the abseil on 8 June 2023 and help me reach my fundraising target. I would love to be able to raise as much money as possible, for this inspirational cause.

Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopters in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed the most. The London Air Ambulance is a service no one ever wants to need but when faced with tragedy, is a service everyone is eternally grateful for.
