Community Fundraising

Your Event

Many of our dedicated supporters are unable to fundraise for us in their usual way right now, so we have put together some additional ideas to help you keep busy, keep active and keep supporting London’s Air Ambulance Charity. We need your help now more than ever, so why not take up one of the challenges below?

Get Social!

Hold a virtual event such as a quiz, race or a movie night and charge your virtual guests an admission fee. Alternatively, you could suggest they donate the cost of what they might normally have spent on a night out. Below you will find a guide to the best platforms to use and how to set them up.

Set up an online fundraising page

After deciding what type of fundraising activity you would like to undertake you can set up your own fundraising page on our website.

Set up a Virtual Bucket Collection

You can set up a virtual bucket collection using our website. It’s quick and easy to do – all from the comfort of your own home.

Our team of dedicated volunteers are unable to take part in their usual bucket collections at present - could you become a virtual volunteer, supporting us and them by creating a virtual collection and helping us to fundraise through your own networks?

All you need to do is set up a page and share it with your friends and family, asking them to contribute to your virtual collection. You could encourage people to donate the cost of their usual cup of coffee, the cost of their commute or whatever they might usually put into a collection bucket.

Hold a Life-Saving Tea Party

Get baking and hold a Life-Saving Tea Party. Invite friends to attend your virtual tea party by hosting it via a video calling platform (see below for a how to guide) or get creative and hold a teddy bear picnic or themed tea with your family.

Contact us today for your free Life Saving Tea Party fundraising pack along with tips on how to adapt this virtually to work around the current social distancing guidelines.

Get active!

Take on our Helicopter Challenge! The Helicopter is an exercise move and our official London Marathon 2.6  challenge is to complete 26 of these.

Or take on your own active challenge to raise money. You could set a distance and run in your garden, do a squat/burpees challenge or set a step target for the month.

Get creative!

Are you a keen seamstress, can you knit, are you an engineer a jewellery maker or an artist?  Over the years our supporters have created a variety of unique items from printed tote bags to Christmas wreaths that they have sold or auctioned to raise funds for our charity. Could you use your skill to create items that could be sold through a virtual auction?

Teach a Virtual Class

Have a skill to share? Why not share it with friends and family and ask them to donate to attend your session? You could run a baking class, teach a language or run a virtual exercise group. You can utilise literally any skill you have from singing to playing a musical instrument. You could even encourage friends and family to join you and create a fundraising auction of pledges.

Virtual Talks

Many of us remain separated from our loved ones and colleagues right now and our team would like to do our bit to ensure we can stay connected. We have volunteer speakers who are able to host virtual talks to social clubs and community groups. If you would like to hear more about this opportunity and our charities work please contact us at community@londonsairambulance.org.uk
