I'm running to help save lives
On the 22nd April 2024, Grants Mum Clare had a serious fall down the stairs at home.
Clare’s injuries were so severe that the paramedics made the decision to put her into an induced coma. She would require immediate medical care at the specialist Head and Neck Trauma unit at Kings Hospital in London.
The London Air Ambulance was dispatched and Clare would be in the care of Kings Hospital within the hour.
On the night of the fall we asked the Air Ambulance Crew how we could possibly thank them? Their response was simple; ‘If we were ever given the opportunity to raise any money for them that would be thanks enough.’
Hence I will be running in London Landmarks Half Marathon for London's Air Ambulance Charity and any contributions would be so greatly appreciated, Thanks Sophie
