Im running because...
For anybody that doesn't know me. I work as a Paramedic for the London Ambulance Service. Running this half marathon is a massive challenge for me due to having a massive hip surgery a few years ago where my hip was broken in 3 different places and I was unable to do any form of exercise for years. What better way to return to sport than to smash out a half marathon and raise money whilst I do it? I am running for the Londons Air Ambulance.London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and the best quality of life, after trauma. I have personally worked closely with London Air Ambulance on many occasions and their calmness and impressive knowledge helped in some of the hardest jobs that I have had to face.
