Assaulted and sick

Got attacked on the way home from work on my last ride. Guy tried to take my bicycle. Long story short he didn't get my bike but I did end up taking a swim in the canal and have won myself a viral infection.....no riding for a while for me again....

Let's get it started

So after starting the month off by winning a bout of tonsillitis let's get the miles started.

I had been an Emergency Care Practitioner in South Africa for a good few years before moving to my new home in London and taking on a Paramedic role here. Throughout my career London HEMS has been seen as the guys that know how to get the job done. And if this is a way I can help make sure the people of my new home keep getting the world renowned prehospital care that London HEMS  brings to every scene then I'm happy to cycle all the miles for those missions.

I'm saddling up to save lives in London!

I’m saddling up to show my support for London’s Air Ambulance Charity by taking up the mission to ride the equivalent length of the London border. Miles for Missions is a challenge to complete 116 miles between 1-31 October, to help raise vital funds for this lifesaving service.

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
