I'm running to help save lives.
Next year I will be running the London landmarks half marathon. I have decided to choose a charity which is not only something I have worked alongside with when I was in the ambulance service, but without the help of them a close friend to both Brendan and I outcome could have been a lot different. I will be running for London Air Ambulance. I must admit my first choice would have been Essex & Herts but due to there spaces being full I will be running for London. Nether the less, the work they do is just as important.
Daniel had a car accident back in 2022 and I think it’s safe to say if they weren’t there in the rapid time they were, along with the ambulance crew in attendance, we wouldn’t have our Dan here today.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
