I'm running in honour of Harry and George
Harry was one of the greatest people I knew, and we became very close friends during our time in secondary school. We both had a lot to look forward to in the future, and to kickstart this new journey we were going to travel Europe before starting our new lives. A day after we finished our school exams, both Harry and George lost their lives on a night out in a car accident. This tragedy shattered many people, including me, which is why I want to run this half marathon in honour of them and on behalf of the London air ambulance charity.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
