I'm running to help save lives in London

On 14/08 both my kids were involved in a car accident. They were both hit by a family member under the influence whilst at a family function. Fortunately for Elianna, the impact on her physically, was not as significant but the same couldn’t be said for Elijah.

He went on to spend 3 weeks in hospital, suffering from a punctured lung, broken rib-cage, shoulder & pelvis and now continues his recovery at home. I am grateful to all those that have contributed to his care, all the staff at Kings College Hospital London from the doctors to the nurses, they were all integral to Elijah’s recovery. But whilst I am grateful for their efforts & the efforts of family as well as friends I am most grateful for Londons air ambulance and the team that attended to us on that day, [Elijah’s Guardian Angels]

Prior to this incident, I never knew Londons Air Ambulance were a registered charity and are solely funded through charitable donations. I never gave much thought to the service but believe me when I say I have thought about it everyday without fail. I am not exaggerating when I say without their speedy, competent and caring response, Elijah would not be here with us today. The way they arrived on the scene, were fully equipped to deal with him, the reassurance they provided us as a family, it honestly went such a long way and is why I call them Elijah’s Guardian Angels.

As a way of giving back I have decided to run London landmarks (half marathon) to support the great work they do.Please join me no amount is too small for this cause. Be encouraged, whatever you have will count towards the greater goal
