London Landmarks Half Marathon for Xanthe

I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for London’s Air Ambulance in honour of my beautiful cousin Xanthe who tragically passed away on 12th November 2025.

After suffering a pulmonary embolism in October, Xanthe collapsed and was rushed to hospital. Her life was initially saved by an ECMO life support machine that meant her organs were given the time and space to recover, relieving the pressure on them. Although Xanthe very sadly passed away after ~3 weeks in a coma, the ECMO machine gave her wonderful family invaluable time to say goodbye, and meant her organs were perfectly healthy to donate to save the lives of many others - her final wish if the worst case scenario materialised.

London’s Air Ambulance not only provides lifesaving treatment in the most desperate of emergency situations, but they have also been fundraising for ECMO machines and the training required for paramedics. These machines really do save lives and in Xanthe’s case, have allowed her live on in so many others.

Any donations towards this incredible cause in memory of Xanthe are so appreciated.

Thank you! Camille :)
