Why we want to raise money:
During two years of working in one of London’s busiest major trauma centres we have got to see first hand the life saving work that London’s Air Ambulance charity does. Roadside thoracotomies, blood transfusions and rapid sequence induction to name a few of the pre-hospital procedures they carry out. Without the tireless work of the Air Ambulance some patients would never make it to the operating table to see us. What most people don’t know is that London’s Air Ambulance is approximately 95% charitably funded and relies on the donations of people like you and me to carry out their incredible work. I for one am very grateful to live and work in a city where the London Air Ambulance operates should I, my friends or my patients ever need it, and that’s what I’ll be thinking about as I abseil my way down the 17 floor high Royal London Hospital on 12th September.I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
