London's Air Ambulance Helipad Abseil 2024

Hi All,

So grateful to you for visiting this page.  

London's Air Ambulance need to replace both their helicopters by this September and the cost for this is £15m. Without a new fleet, we won't have this life-saving service in London.  London's Air Ambulance isn't state-funded  - it runs solely on charitable donations. 

So I've signed up to abseil 17 floors, from the top of The Royal London Hospital - which has the highest rooftop helipad in Europe and is the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity  - to the bottom, to help raise funds as time is running out.


It takes 11 minutes for the Air Ambulance to arrive, bringing with it specialist medics and trauma team.  5 patients need the Air Ambulance every day.  And the Air Ambulance is on call every day of the year, and every minute of each day.

Here's to hoping that you and I and ours never need to use the Air Ambulance.  But I'm doing this for those who find themselves in a situation where they do.
