I did it from 280ft!
So ... I finally did the deed and abseiled the 280ft from the helipad down to terra firma. I'm not gonna lie, once I went over the parapit my heart was in my mouth as I slowly span round and down towards the ground. My yoga breathing and a little voice in my head kept me calm and I took in the amazing skyline that London City has to offer ... what an experience 😍I must be mad ...
So, in my moment of madness, I have decided to take on the annual abseil challenge in aid of London Air Ambulance this September, Friday the 15th. I always vowed to do it after my brother received life saving treatment from the LAA Team in February 2019. Four and a half years on, I am going to do this, get my big girl pants on and face this ... there's no other way in this world I would subject myself to this crazy idea were it not to raise money and awareness for the London Air Ambulance charity, their staff who perform selfless acts of life saving treatment and for the upkeep and maintenance of their infamous air ambulance.
