I am not sure if you know I am a volunteer for London’s Air Ambulance charity. Working closely with the Communities Fundraising Team one of my aims as a volunteer is to encourage golf clubs and golf societies within the LAA footprint to support the charity. This stems from the time I was captain of Royal Epping Forest Golf Club where LAA was my chosen charity during my year in office.Since my time volunteering, I have been very fortunate to meet many of those involved in the charity from many of the paramedics, the helipad fire crew, the helicopter pilots and the fundraising team. They are all an incredible team of people performing an incredible job.The abseil will be a very interesting experience and one I am looking forward to doing for this very worthy cause.
