Helipad Abseil: Ropes, Heights, and a Life-Saving Cause
What could possibly go wrong? (Actually, don’t answer that, I’m a little nervous already!) But seriously, this isn’t just a personal challenge. I’m taking on a helipad abseil from the 17th floor of The Royal London Hospital - home of London’s Air Ambulance Charity - to raise vital funds for a service that saves lives every day.
London’s Air Ambulance delivers an advanced trauma team to the capital’s most critically injured patients. Your donation helps keep the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road - ensuring they’re ready when every second counts. It’s not just about giving people the best chance of survival, but also the best possible quality of life after trauma.
I’ve set a fundraising target of £1,700, which is roughly 0.0001% of the annual cost to run this incredible service, 95% of which comes from public donations and fundraising efforts just like this one.
