Why I have chosen London Air Ambulance

As many of you know, my sister Alice suffered a serious brain injury and had to be airlifted to hospital. Without the incredible team at London Air Ambulance that day, she wouldn’t be here with us now.

Life since then has been incredibly challenging for Alice, and for all of us who love her. That’s why this means so much.

I’m running the London Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for this amazing, life-saving charity. Their courage, skill and rapid response gave my sister a chance, and I’ll always be grateful.

Alice and I were only just talking about this yesterday, and we both agreed how important it is to give something back.

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
