The SE BCU are supporting London's Air Ambulance Charity
On the 23rd of May 2026 due to the generosity of the Royal Artillery Barracks & The Kings Troop (RHA) we are organising a 3 Course Black Tie Event Charity Fundraiser For HEMS. There will be live entertainment & fundraising activities & speaker from the NHS & a subsidised bar. The event has very limited spaces & will be open to Police Officers, Staff & partners
Police are often first on scene to a wide variety of highly challenging life changing & impactful incidents.
Over the last 5 years the SE BCU have been leading the way for the Met in implementing & establishing post incident trauma support. In this time we have had over 600 Officers take up this support on the SE BCU alone.
There is one re occurring theme – the brilliance of our colleagues at HEMS. Officers are frequently left in awe of not just the technical & medical brilliance on display but also the organisation, communication, calmness, empathy & compassion consistently displayed by the medics & clinicians.
