Today's the day!
Finally the day has arrived and I'll be sliding down the side of the Royal London from a rope like a scene from Mission Impossible! Beautiful day for it at least...I'm just hoping the heli's on the pad for a quick starry eyed glimpse before the descent...With one month to go...

Wow folks, I'm overwhelmed by the support so far, thank you! Less than one day in and we're already almost at the target. This is of course the minimum required sponsorship, and I think based on what I've seen so far (as well as the brilliance of our wonderful family, friendships and networks), we'll be able to far exceed this amount. London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
Now that I'm almost a helicopter pilot, this year's challenge follows the rotary theme. I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity (yes, the helipad) on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Please give what you can to help save lives in London!
