I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for London's Air Ambulance!!
This isn't just another charity for me - it's a service I've seen from the inside.
As a research fellow with London’s Air Ambulance, I worked alongside a team dedicated to improving care for some of the most seriously injured patients in the city. While I wasn’t on the frontline, I was able to see what sits behind each mission: the preparation, the clinical reasoning, and the constant effort to refine how care is delivered in those first critical moments.
That experience gave me a different perspective. I saw how much this charity makes possible — not just rapid response, but advanced decision-making and treatment delivered directly at the scene. I also contributed to research focused on improving trauma outcomes, work that continues to support how care is delivered today.
London’s Air Ambulance relies heavily on charitable funding to keep its helicopter flying and its rapid response cars on the road. It’s a service that depends on continued support to operate at this level.
