I'm fundraising for London’s Air Ambulance
Hello,
For those of you who know me, you will be more than aware that I have been in an Ilizarov frame for the majority of this year which saved me from losing my leg after a very nasty break. Because of this I have been so limited to what I can do until I could weight bear so whilst testing myself I want to give back to society.
I AM GOING TO ABSEIL OFF THE HIGHEST HELIPAD IN EUROPE WITH MY METAL LEG FRIEND*!!!
This is all in aid of raising money for the London Air Ambulance and the amazing work they do.
When the accident happened there was a high chance that I was getting picked up by the air ambulance, although that changed last minute! Even though I didn’t end up being collected by air, I still appreciate all the work they do and how much quicker they can get to people in serious need.
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
I know it’s not a good financial time for anyone right now, but please, no matter how small any contribution will be appreciated. I’d love to hit my target!
* - there is the smallest chance I might be frame free by September so it will either be the last adventure with my frame or the first with my leg back!
