I'm running the TCS London Marathon 2023 to help save lives in London!
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients.
On average, five people every 24 hours in London are so seriously injured that they need advanced life-saving medical treatment on scene before they reach the hospital. With your help, LAA’s advanced trauma doctor and paramedic can be by their side within minutes to perform medical procedures normally only found in the hospital Emergency Department. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and the best quality of life after trauma.
I will be taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2023, running with the London's Air Ambulance Charity Team. I admire the work of London’s Air Ambulance and have been inspired to get involved through their partnership with my employer, Blick Rothenberg.
It costs approximately £9 million a year to provide their service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so they rely on as much help as they can get from individuals and companies like Blick Rothenberg.
I’m so excited to be running the marathon this year and hope I can help in raising as much as I can for this well-deserving service. In particular, I will be supporting them with their ‘Up Against Time’ appeal, where £15 million must be raised to replace their two helicopters by 2024.
Without your donations, there is no life-saving air ambulance service for Londoners.
