London Marathon 2026 - LAA
This year, I’m taking on the incredible challenge of the London Marathon.
I’m running in aid of London’s Air Ambulance Charity, and I’m running in memory of my Dad.
London’s Air Ambulance is nothing short of extraordinary. They are the only service that can deliver a trauma team — including a doctor and paramedic — directly to the scene of the most serious injuries across London. Whether it’s a road traffic collision, a fall, or a life-threatening incident, they bring the emergency room to the patient when every second matters.
Operating by helicopter and rapid response vehicles, they respond to some of the most critical situations in the capital. They perform life-saving procedures at the roadside — procedures that would usually only happen in a hospital emergency department. Quite simply, they give people a second chance at life on what could be their very worst day.
And the most incredible part? They are a charity. They rely heavily on donations to keep flying, to keep their teams trained and equipped, and to continue saving lives across London.
I’m not just running for a good cause — I’m running because this charity helped my dad.
When he needed them, they were there. The care, the skill, the speed, and the compassion they showed made an enormous difference during an unimaginably difficult time. He spoke fondly of the team who helped him — with gratitude, respect, and admiration for what they do.
In his memory, I want to give something back.
