I am running the London Marathon 2025

I am running the London Marathon 2025 for the London Air ambulance Charity. This amazing charity saved my partners life earlier on this year and we are extremely grateful and owe everything to the London Air Ambulance charity.

Doctor Mark Russell and paramedic Katie Vallis treated my partner and were incredible. The compassion, professionalism and care showed to my partner and our family is something I have never seen before. They kept us updated as family even after handing over to the doctors at Royal London Hospital. Mark and Katie came to check in on my partner again before he was taken to intensive care. Their words “please come and see us when you’re better” showed us how much they cared and gave us faith and motivation for him to get better so he could thank them personally. They are real life super heroes and we will never forget their faces/ names. 

We were lucky enough to be invited down to the home of London Air Ambulance to meet doctor Mark Russell and patient liaison nurse Frank Chege who went through what was done that night and treatment that was given to my partner that saved his life. This really helped us to understand from a doctor’s perspective and gave us closure. We were told my partner was the sickest person in London that night and I truly believe he was in the best hands possible. Frank and Mark were amazing speaking with them for a few hours put a lot into perspective for us and made us realise how lucky we were. We also learned a lot about the Charity and how they operate.

What this charity does day in and day out is truly life saving and life changing, we the people of London are extremely lucky to have this service available to us. 

Many people don’t know that the London Air Ambulance is a Charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. It relies on donations from us to keep them going.

I feel so grateful to be able to run the London marathon and raise money for the London Air ambulance that is so very close to my heart.

I'm running to help save lives in London

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.

I will be taking part in the TCS London Marathon 2025 running with the London's Air Ambulance Charity Team. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
