London's Air Ambulance Helipad Abseil 2026

I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London

On the 10th of September 2019, I had a tragic accident which ended in life changing injuries for myself. Luckily, I was saved by The London Air Ambulance charity! Without their help I do not think I would still be here today. While I was still in hospital at The Royal London, my family could see people abseiling down the building after raising funds for The London Air Ambulance charity. Now I have an opportunity to be one of those people, on the 7 year anniversary of my accident and the 7 year anniversary of being flown to this exact helipad and having my life saved by this incredible charity!

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma. These medics can go as far as giving open heart surgery on the side of the road if that is what it will take to keep you alive. Having read some of the cases of people this charity has saved, it really opened my eyes up to how much we need them in todays world!

I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel which is exactly where I was flown to, to be given the best chance at surviving and the best chance at having some quality of life after such a traumatic accident. Please give what you can to help save lives in London. If you, a family member or friend is ever in a situation that requires the kind of medical attention that only these medics can give, it can only be possible through the kindness and generosity of any donations they receive!
