Last week I posted about a raffle I am running in order to help fundraise for London's Air Ambulance Charity, where there are loads of great prizes donated by South West London businesses up for grabs. In addition to FOURTEEN prizes already announced I am excited to confirm a further three prizes!

Helipad Visit

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet fellow fundraisers and members of London’s Air Ambulance Charity. We were invited up to the helipad at the Royal London Hospital, where we learned more about the charity’s incredible work and even witnessed the team taking off in response to an emergency.

One of the things I learned yesterday is that each of these responses is referred to as a “mission,” and that a single mission costs, on average, £2,600. This really brought home my own fundraising mission: if I achieve my goal, we will have covered the cost of one of these missions and potentially helped save someone’s life.

I really enjoyed this fundraiser day yesterday, and it has motivated me to continue raise as much as possible for this amazing charity we are so lucky to have!

Fundraising Raffle! (SW London)

Hi guys! This year I’m running London Marathon this year and fundraising for London’s Air Ambulance Charity 🚁 LAA provides critical care to the most severely injured people across London - a vital service we’re so lucky to have, but hope to never need. Most people I’ve spoken to are surprised to learn they’re actually a charity, and this is why fundraising for them is so important. As part of my fundraising, not only am I running my first marathon, I’m also running a raffle! London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
