In Memory of LAA Captain David Rolfe

My late husband Captain David Rolfe served the people of London by flying London's Air Ambulance for 12 years, a job that he loved!
During his battle with cancer and after his death LAA have been so supportive of us as a family. I cannot thank them enough!
I can think of no better tribute to Dave than to abseil off the hospital roof to fundraise for the organisation that he loved. Dave was similar to many pilots in his fear of heights, so he would never have done this event himself, but he enjoyed taking part in other fundraisers for LAA.
Please donate in his memory to keep the helicopters in the air.

In memory of David Rolfe

My late husband, David Rolfe, a Captain at London's Air Ambulance, died of throat cancer in January 2026. I want to support London's Air Ambulance by doing this abseil, as they have been so good to me and the children through the last few years of Dave's cancer journey, and helping us commemorate him after his death. 
The life saving work they do is incredible - I have lived it through Dave's experiences for 12 years! And they need everyone's support to keep this service available to the residents and visitors of London.

I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.

I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
