TCS London Marathon 2026

It's chilly!

Where has all the time gone!? After a blisteringly few cold months training over winter we've been blessed with a few weeks of almost constant rain. It would be an understatement to say this has put a dent in my training BUT with only 65 days until the London Marathon it's time to pick up the training!

You can keep an eye on my progress on strava (https://www.strava.com/athletes/39410171) and if you haven't already, I would be so grateful for your donation!

Less than six months to go!

As the clocks change and the nights draw in, I'm in the last couple of weeks of my summer training block. To build in some 'base' to get my body ready for some harder training over the winter I've been trying to run around 20-30km a week.

Last night I ran from Westminster to Tower Bridge and back, and got this amazing picture. The river looks amazing at night - nearly enough to distract from the cold wind.

Less than six months until I stand at the start line, cannot wait!

Keep track of my training!

Today marks 222 days until the 2026 London Marathon.
Whilst I'm already out training, I'll continue to do so over the coming winter period.
You can keep track of my progress on Strava (if thats your sort of thing) here: https://www.strava.com/athletes/39410171

I'm running to help save lives in London

Hello, I’m Dan, an Emergency Department doctor in South London.

Through my work, I see first-hand the incredible impact of London’s Air Ambulance. They respond across the city by air and road to treat and transport London’s most seriously injured patients. Their interventions save lives, giving people the best chance of survival and recovery after trauma.

If it wasn't for London's Air Ambulance, many of the most badly injured patients we treat in the emergency department simply would not reach hospital alive.

But they do much more than that. London’s Air Ambulance also drives research into pre-hospital care, supports families of critically injured patients, and provides vital education for communities and healthcare professionals.

This lifesaving service relies on charitable donations. It costs around £17 million a year to run, and about £2,600 for every patient treated.

In 2026, I’ll be running the TCS London Marathon to raise funds for this vital charity.

Please give what you can to help save lives in London.

Thank you!
