VITALITY LONDON 10K
The brilliant Team Whirlybird is taking part in the Vitality London 10k on September 22, 2024. They are raising funds for London’s Air Ambulance in recognition of the 2 year milestone since team captain Barry was helicopter lifted to hospital following a severe car crash on September 16, 2022. The LAA is an incredible organization which saves countless lives, and operates entirely on charitable donations with no government funding.
The team is delighted to be running with Barry. After he was warned during his recovery that jogging might not be possible again, he challenged himself with the goal of a sponsored run determined to defy the odds and support the LAA. Team Whirlybird has five fundraisers taking part, with more always welcome to join!
Barry's family also want to extend their deepest gratitude to all the remarkable staff at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Watch his story online to see how he has rebuilt his amazing new life!
