Team Mechem's 2024-2026 Fundraising for London's Air Ambulance Charity

It was in June 2023 after seeing the incredible work of London’s air ambulance charity, we launched ourselves from the highest rooftop helipad in Europe. We descended The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel from the 17th floor. 

Just 10 months later in April 2024. Yasmin was attacked in Hainault and needed the support of these life saving hero’s. 

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Who rely solely on kind donations to keep operating. By raising money we are able to help the air ambulance be there for seriously injured people across London when every second counts, helping a life-saving team, provide critical care for the people who desperately need it. Providing this care as quickly as possible after injury, it gives someone the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.

In September 2024, It was only right our family and friends kicked off our fundraising back where we started….

The Abseil, September 2024

The team once again scaled down the side of the Royal London Hospital from the helipad on the 17th floor. With 30+ of our friends and family at the bottom cheering them on.

The Thames path, September 2024

This time the team stayed firmly on the ground walking 15km along the Thames path.

London Landmarks Half Marathon and London Marathon, April 2025 

The pace picked up and the team ran 13.1 miles and then doubled it just a few weeks later running 26.2 miles.

Skydive, April 2025 

The team then decided to take to the skys and jump 10,000 feet from a plane.

Supported by many local businesses kindly donating gifts to be raffled and unmatched entertainment from the live band SOMETHING ELSE (whose members are also our own) we partied the night away.

Dressed up as Santa 12 members of our family and Friends walked 4km across London our youngest members 4 who were 4 completed every step.
