We’re running to help save lives in London
On New Year's Day 2021 our Dad was out running when he was hit by a speeding car that had mounted the pavement. Thanks to the swift arrival of London's Air Ambulance team and the advanced procedures that they were able to perform at the roadside, he survived to make the journey to hospital. He is still recovering from his terrible injuries but it's a testament to his unbelievable determination and strength how far he has come, considering the severity of the accident. There are still lasting effects that have changed his life forever and memories that will unfortunately last a lifetime.
The immense gratitude we feel for the LAA is something no words or amount of money will ever be able to reflect. After our whole family took part in the Miles for Missions fundraiser, we fancied something a bit more challenging. So, running this half marathon with the aim to raise money and awareness seemed like the next best step!
