London to Brighton Cycle 2024

I turned cycling from a leisurely activity into a means of commute shortly after the lockdown era, in order to get myself back in shape. What began as a fun one-off challenge has persisted for nearly 4 years now, at least once a week.

I am also acutely aware that London, despite the big improvements of the recent years, is not the safest city for cycling. We all like to think nothing terrible is ever going to happen to us, that it is always someone else. And we like to think we will never help from LAA. The fact of life is, many do, each year.

I have been a supporter for a while now and, as a Londoner, have certainly seen the presence of and heard about the incredible work done by LAA. It only seemed natural to put two and two together and try to help raise awareness of both the fragility of an individual's life, and the miracles worked by those who often manage to reverse the most dire of circumstances.
