I'm running to help save lives in London
I am delighted, and somewhat nervous, to confirm that I will be running the London Marathon 2023 for London’s Air Ambulance Charity! 🚁
The London Marathon is something that’s been on my bucket list for quite some time, and I quite honestly couldn’t have been luckier to have been picked by such an amazing charity.
For those who don’t know, a little about the charity and their work; London Air Ambulance Charity delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Helicopters and rapid response cars mean they can perform innovative and potentially life-saving procedures usually found in the emergency department on-scene. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, patients have the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
My grandpa was one of the 43206 helped by such a group, and such a group is truly the reason he was enabled a proper goodbye surrounded by family. This charity holds a special place for my family and many others, and now I’m able to give back.
I am extremely grateful for any donations and support, and I had better start running! 🚁 🏃♀️ 🌟
