Why I’m taking part….

On New Years Day 2021 my brother in law Steve was hit by a car when it mounted the pavement at speed. The driver ran from the scene. 

The London Air Ambulance team attended and placed Steve into an induced coma before carrying out a procedure by the roadside to try to temporarily stop the catastrophic internal bleeding that he was suffering, so he could be taken to hospital for lifesaving surgery. 

Without this intervention Steve would not have made it to hospital, and our family would have experienced a truly devastating loss. I am taking part in this challenge to raise money for this incredible charity that saves lives like Steve’s.

I'm Abseiling to help save lives in London

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. Your donation will help save more lives by keeping the helicopter in the air and the rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, London’s Air Ambulance Charity aims to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.

I will be abseiling from the home of London's Air Ambulance Charity on the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. Please give what you can to help save lives in London.
