About the event

Take part in the inaugural Local Landmarks 10K. The new and exciting event will bring people together from across the globe on Sunday 20th February, whilst celebrating your local landmarks and community. It also gives you the opportunity to earn the very first medal in the exclusive Local Landmark collectible series.

Set yourself the challenge, plan your route and raise vital funds for charity. When you sign up for the 10K you’ll be given the option to create a Local Landmarks 10K JustGiving page.

How to register

To register simply click Join our Team above. The event costs £15 to enter, plus £2.50 postage, for which you’ll receive a fantastic collectible medal. When you raise over £100 we will send you a London's Air Ambulance Charity running top

You’ll be given the option to create a Local Landmarks 10K JustGiving page where you can select to fundraise for London's Air Ambulance Charity. If you would like to run for us, please do get in touch by emailing events@londonsairambulance.co.uk. We'd love to hear from you!

How much is the registration fee?

There is no minimum sponsorship, you’ll be given the option to create a Local Landmarks 10K JustGiving page when you register

Can I join the team if I have my own place?

Yes, we welcome all own place fundraisers to our Team.

Can I take part as a team?

Yes, you can create a team fundraising page and combine your minimum sponsorship to create one team fundraising target.

How do I register?

What website should I use to set up an online giving page?

We have our own fundraising pages, you will be able to set up your page when you have competed registration. 

Do I get a London's Air Ambulance Charity top to wear on the day?

When you raise over £100 we will send you the choice of the London’s Air Ambulance Charity running t-shirts or vests. These are sent out at least a month before the race with letters to personalise your top.

How do I get my workplace to support me?

There are loads of ways your work can support your fundraising, here are a few ideas: there are loads of ways your work can support your fundraising, here are a few ideas:

  1. Match funding- some workplaces offer match funding where they match up to a certain amount of what you raise for example if you raise £500 they will match it and give you £500 making your fundraising total £1,000
  2. Add your online giving page to your work email signature
  3. Hold a bake sale, lunchtime activity or after work quiz
  4. Guess your finish time- £2 to guess a time, winner wins a prize or a % of the money from the game or a prize that has been donated to you.

What happens if I don't hit my target by the deadline date?

We will be in regular contact between the time you register and the event date. Fundraising deadlines are usually 4 weeks after the date of the event. We will confirm when you register what the deadline is. If at anytime you are concerned about your fundraising progress we ask that you contact us so we can help. If you are not able to reach the target by the deadline set we will work together with you to extend your deadline and support further fundraising activity to help.

Does the registration fee contribute towards my fundraising?

Your registration fee contributes towards the cost of your place and is not included in your fundraising target.

Is there a cut off time?

They are encouraging everyone to take part on Sunday 20 February 2022 but if you need to complete your run a few days before, or a few days after that's ok!

What happens if I get injured or can no longer take part in the event?

If you are no longer able to take part, please contact us and local@llhm.co.uk  and they will still send out your medal, and you can run your 10K at a later date once you are able to.
