Our goal

This Christmas, we’ll be there for London…

It will mean the world to know you’re there for us too.

There are lots of ways you can support London’s Air Ambulance Charity this Christmas and enjoy the festive season with family, friends and colleagues.

By taking part in or hosting a festive Christmas fundraiser, you can help to save the lives of the 10m people who live, work and travel across our city every day – people just like you.

None of us can know when we’ll need the support of London’s Air Ambulance, but one thing is certain – we can only fly to the rescue with your support.

So please help us raise vital funds this Christmas so we can get there in time to save a life.

Here are some fun festive ways you could support us

Light up London

We all love Christmas lights so what better way to celebrate the festive season than by illuminating your home, garden or work-space with a life-saving display that encourages donations to support your local air ambulance charity.

Festive Jumper Day

Dust off your favourite Christmas jumper (or socks and hat) and dress up for the day in support of London’s Air Ambulance Charity.

Whether it’s at your work-place or on Zoom calls, at school or your local club, you can raise vital funds by dressing-to-impress this Christmas!

Set up an online bucket collection

Our physical bucket collections remain very much restricted due to the ongoing pandemic, but you can still support us by setting up your own online version and sharing with your friends and family. You can ask them to donate their ‘loose change’ or perhaps what they would spend on a Christmas lunch or a box of crackers!

Set up your collection

If you aren’t able to create your own virtual bucket collection you can donate and share our London’s Air Ambulance Charity Virtual Bucket

Santa's Step Dash!

If you think you could compete with the distance covered by Santa and his Elves this Christmas, then why not set yourself a step-challenge, choose your venue and invite friends and family to sponsor you.

You could even ask people to take part with you. Whether it’s 10,000 steps a day throughout December or a day of activity in your local gym, this is a great way of raising funds and helping shift that extra mince pie!

Donate in lieu of Christmas cards?

If you don’t want to send Christmas cards this year but still want to send festive wishes to your loved ones, why not send them an e-card and donate the cost of what you would have spent on cards and postage to support our charity?

Festive ‘funraise’ your way

You may well have a much better idea of your own, based on hobbies, passions or clubs you belong to. Maybe it’s baking or dancing, wreath-making, cycling or football, whatever it might be you can set up a festive fundraising page and take part this Christmas to raise vital funds.

What is a Festive Christmas collection?

Our online Festive Fundraising collections allow you to set up a page that you can share with friends, family and colleagues to encourage them to sponsor your activity or make a donation!

How do I set up my Festive Fundraising collection?

All you need to do is click here to set up your fundraising page and you can add your own photos and text to personalise your page.

How do I promote my page?

You can easily share your page by clicking on the social media or email graphics at the top of your page, plus we will send you a link that you can cut and paste. You can get support by contacting community@londonsairambulance.org.uk or logging into your account and selecting the ‘Get Support’ tab.

How long can I fundraise for?

You can start straightaway and carry on throughout December. Our festive fundraising season will close on Wednesday 5th January 2022.

Top tips to get the most from your festive fundraising

Set yourself a target

How much do you want to raise through your activity or collection? Set yourself a goal and encourage friends, family and colleagues to help you reach your life-saving target. Remember, you can always up your target amount if you reach it!

Personalise your page

You can add a short story as to why you are fundraising, plus photos, videos and updates. We find that people who personalise and update their pages raise more funds.

Promote on social media

Let people know why you have chosen to support us. Do you have a personal connection to the charity, or do you usually volunteer at bucket collections? Or do you just want to do something amazing over the festive season to keep London’s Air Ambulance flying during?

Ask people to share your page

It is really easy to share your fundraising bucket collection page with friends and family, so do encourage them to forward on to their contacts.  They could even host their own fundraising activity or set up a collection if they have been inspired by your amazing efforts to support us!

Keep people updated

Post regularly about your collection and let people know how it’s going. You can post updates directly to your fundraising page.

Set up a group collection with friends, family and colleagues

You can set up a group collection and see who can collect the most or contribute towards a team target. You could do this at work, your gym, social or sports club or any organisation you belong to.

Thank your supporters

You will be able to create an automatic thank you that is sent to all your donors. We’ve created a thank you template guide, but you can easily write your own personal message instead

Thank you!

Thank you for visiting our festive web page, for your support this Christmas and for any support you may already have given us.  We could not be there for the people of London without people like you.
